Constantius I, as Caesar, 293-305. Argenteus (Silver, 20 mm, 3.55 g, 6 h), Thessalonica, circa 301-302. CONSTAN-TIVS NOB C Laureate head of Constantius I to right. Rev. VIRTV-S MI-LITVM / TS•A• Campgate with four turrets, open doors and star above gate. Gautier 10a. RIC 12a. RSC 321†c. Extremely rare, apparently the second known example. Nicely toned. Light deposits and minor scratch on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
